Why is Wexford Famous for Strawberries?

For nearly a century now, Wexford Strawberries have become the go-to summer fruits for generations. These farm-fresh, local strawberries have become synonymous with the summer months and the country of Wexford throughout the country. And rightfully so!

Few would argue that for plump, sumptuous, and flavourful strawberries, Wexford’s cannot be beaten. For many, no Irish summer has started properly until they’ve picked up a fresh box of strawberries from a roadside hut during the May Bank Holiday.
